Vertical / horizontal Shadow Gap
Vertical Shadow Gap Cladding is increasingly popular with stylish architecturally led projects. When installed, this
vertical cladding creates a pronounced 10mm square shadow gap which uses natural sunlight to visually enhance the
building. A modern and striking profile.
Vertical or horizontal Shadow Gap Cladding similar to the standard shadow gap but with eased edges, this allows
the water to run off when fixed horizontally this also offers a softer shadow gap appearance.

SHIPLAP
Shiplap is a profile that partially overlaps the adjacent board, creating shadow line effects and allows for dimensional
movement.
Shiplap provides excellent weather protection, especially when installed horizontally. The channel in shiplap allows water
to run off quickly after exposure to rain, making it more suited to harsher weather environments than some of the
contemporary alternatives.
A big advantage of a ‘lapped’ board (without a rebated joint) over a tongue and groove design is the ability to remove a
single board if it becomes damaged or you need access behind it, rather than having to strip off multiple boards.
Historically this has been viewed as a more of a traditional finish than the contempary and modern looking TGV /
Shaddow Gaps. Shiplap, as the name suggests, was originally used to build the sides of a ship creating a water tight finish.

Feather edge
Feather edge cladding is also known as weather boarding or rebated feather edge boarding. It is fitted horizontally and
traditionally used to clad homes or large expanses.
The difference between this profile and the standard feather edge is the rebated bottom edge, allowing the board to sit
slightly closer to the wall and more flush with the other boards.
This is a very traditional finish with a rough sawn face finish. don’t treat this one, let it age gracefully and it will go a nice
